Israel’s Messiah Revealed: Why the Rabbis Missed What the Prophets Declared

Many ask a sincere question: If Jesus truly is the Jewish Messiah, why do so many rabbis and learned Jews not believe in Him? If it were true, then you would think that rabbis and haredi Jews, those most immersed in Torah would be the first to recognize the Messiah. Surely, if Jesus were the One promised by Moses and the Prophets, the most learned rabbis would announce their faith in Jesus, he would be spoken of warmly in the yeshivas and synagogues, and the whole Jewish would accept him. Yet this is not what the Torah, the Prophets, or the Writings teach us to expect. Far from contradicting the Hebrew Scriptures, the Jewish rejection of Messiah was foretold within them. Let us consider what the Scriptures themselves say.

God Equipped You With Ears; Now Hear Him!

In his popular work Sapiens, the Israeli writer Yuval Noah Harari claimed: ““As far as we can tell from a purely scientific viewpoint, human life has absolutely no meaning. Humans are the outcome of blind evolutionary processes that operate without goal or purpose. Our actions are not part of some divine cosmic plan, and if planet earth were to blow up tomorrow morning, the universe would probably keep going about its business as usual. As far as we can tell at this point, human subjectivity would not be missed. Hence any meaning that people inscribe to their lives is just a delusion.”

Why was the Second Temple destroyed?

Few questions have weighed more heavily on the heart of the Jewish people than this: Why was the Second Temple destroyed? When the First Temple fell under the reigns of Zedekiah, king of Judah, and Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, in the 6th century B.C., the Lord did not leave His people without hope. Even amid ruin, He sent His prophets to comfort them.
